The presidential advisor on Industry Hon Amelia Ann Kyambadde is disturbed by the state of roads in Mpigi district despite an increment of Ugx 1bn for roads maintenance from ministry of finance.

On addition of the Ugx 600m roads fund given to Mpigi district, the ministry of finance allocated Ugx 1bn to each district for roads maintenance, which Mpigi district received too.According to our reliable source, the district has so far spent Ugx 500m out of the Ugx 1bn, but many roads are impassable at the moment.

Hon Amelia Kyambadde on her monitoring trail in Mpigi, reached Mbazzi -Kisozi road were the Katonga river submerged causing havock to road users.

Hon Amelia Kyambadde promised to meet the minister of roads and transport Gen Katumba Wamala and relevant offices to fix this road to enable Muduuma residents to access services.

This road is used by residents to access Muduuma Health Center III and Mpigi Health Center IV and used by a number of school going children.

Residents blame the current leadership in the district for neglecting their role. A number roads in Kituntu, Muduuma, Buwama are impassable.
