Oyam District Production  Department  Has Purchased Four  Motorcycles to boost Agriculture.

This motorcycles  were procured using Agricultural grant at a tune of 42 million shillings to help extension staff in boosting Agriculture in the four Sub Counties of Myene,Loro,Acaba and among others.

Cox Albino Ogwal the District Production Officer Oyam District in his remark said according to the guide lines issued by ministry of agriculture animal husbandry and fisheries they are allows to buy motorcycles yearly for their agricultural extension staff in a bid to reach farmer at the grass roots.

Conclusively Ogwal further appealed to the beneficiaries to use these motorcycles properly to meet its initial plan and design.

John Gutenburg Ogwang Secretary for production and marketing in his remark said Agriculture is the back born of
Uganda but other people have negative atitudes towards over it where they describes agriculture as works for the poor people which is not true. 

Benson walter Dilla Oyuku the Lc5 Chairperson oyam district directed mechanical engeneers of the district to collect all the motorcycles which is not put in use for hocksoning as it was approved by district council.

William Komakech the Resident District Commissioner of Oyam district  however cautioned Agricultural extension workers against miss use of these motorbikes saying as presidential representative he has authority to take away these motorbikes from any extension staff so that it can be given to another hard worker.

Upon receiving these motorbikes some beneficiaries shared their excitements over this development pledging to put them into good use for the improvement of production and productivity.
