Exclusive Video: Outspoken Rev Fr. Kiibi blesses Hon Amelia Kyambadde ahead of 2026 elections

The charismatic parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Mpigi Rev. Fr Kiibi Deogratias Kateregga blessed former Trade minister Amelia Ann Kyambadde ahead of the 2026 elections.

Hon Amelia Kyambadde declared her interest in reclaiming the Mawokota North MP seat recently, and since her declaration, she has embarked on church fundraising in the constituency.

Earlier this year Hon Amelia contributed 23m to St Joseph Nswanjer catholic Sub Parish in Muduuma. At St. Joseph Jjanya Catholic Parish she also contributed 23m, and promised a contribution of 23m to St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Mpigi (from the contributions 20m from President Museveni, and 3m from her).

Hon Ameria Kyambadde ‘Owa Work’

Rev Fr Kiibi appreciated leaders who serve the interests of the people and at the same time are working together with the church to develop the country.

He applauded hon Amelia Kyambadde for her humbleness and efforts in Mpigi, referring to her as a good leader!

The battle for Mawokota North MP seat has intensified and political leaders are taking sides between Hon Amelia Kyambadde and the incumbent MP, hon Kiyaga Hillary Innocent who won the seat in 2021 on National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket under the wave that swept a number of ministers in Buganda Region.
