Amidst speculations and rumours surrounding his political allegiance, Hon. Mathias Mpuuga, the deputy President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has made it clear that he has no intentions of resigning from the Kavule-based party.
In today’s press conference statement, The Commissioner of Parliament, Hon Mathias Mpuuga emphasized his unwavering dedication to NUP and reiterated his commitment to its principles and objectives.
Addressing concerns about his purported departure from NUP, Mpuuga stated firmly that he remains steadfast in his affiliation with the party. He dismissed rumours suggesting otherwise and affirmed his loyalty to NUP’s leadership and its vision for Uganda’s future.
Mpuuga’s statement comes at a time when political dynamics in Uganda are in flux, with speculation rife about potential defections and realignments among various political factions.
Last week the party leadership led by its Secetray General penned a letter to the speaker informing it of the position that they recalled its commissioner.
