Bobi Wine summons a special parliamentary caucus to discuss currents issues in NUP

The president of Uganda’s leading opposition political party, the National Unity Platform (NUP) hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert has summoned an urgent special meeting for parliamentary caucus to discuss the current status of the party.

A reliable source intimated to Whisper Eye News, that Mr Wine is burdened by the internal wrangles in the party after the National Executive Committee (NEC) resolved to recall Nyendo-Mukungwe legislator hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba from the parliament commission last week.

The source further said that the biggest number of NUP legislators opposed the move to recall Nyendo-Mukungwe MP from the commission, faulting top party leadership for mishandling the issues.

“MPs are against the NEC position to recall hon Mpuuga from the Commission, saying that the decision has affected the party especially in Buganda region”, an anonymous MP told the source.

The meeting will be held today at 2:00 PM at party heads Kavule, Kampala.
