This was revealed by Dr Caroline Agaro who is the Assistant District Health Officer of Oyam District during an interview with our reporter at her offfice on Tuesday where she advises those who are on treatment to continue taking their medicines as it is prescribed to help curbing down the spread of this deadly disease.
Accoding to Agaro they are experiencing soo many cases of new infections where people are going through live sex which risk in the high spread of HIV infections to many people.
She further identified some new hot spots areas in Oyam district with high rate of new HIV infections and among these areas includes Mitacoo market,Myene,Kamdini,Loro,Oyam Town Council and in Bario market where she says most people reports and pitch camp in such markets before market day as they participate in trading,dangcing,and playing unprotected sex even after market day.
Conclusively Agaro said as a district they are mapping hot spots areas as well as senitising community wnd various stake holders to continue sensitising locals on the danger of HIV.
