YYM. NRM Youth launch new Youth Movement at Party HQs

A group of NRM youths have today the 24th February 2024 launched a new youth movement called the Yellow Youth Movement at an event that has taken place at the party Secretariat in Kampala.

The Yellow youths who have been led by a one Jacob Eyeru who happens to be the Chairperson of the National Youth council have attributed the formation of this new force to giving support to the party Chairman Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in is hunt for votes in the coming 2026 elections.

According to these youth, President Museveni is still fit to lead this country even beyond 2026 and thus its upto them as the Party’s young generation to help mzee is winning the people’s mandate once again.

“The Yellow Youth Movement (YYM) isn’t about signing up; it’s about mobilizing. We’re already members of the NRM. YYM draws inspiration and guidance from President Museveni’s decades of leadership and commitment to the principles of unity, progress, and people-centred development. ” Jacob Eyeru spoke amidst chants from the large crowds.

He also added that the new movement has not come to engage into fights with any existing faction but rather to work together to mobilize for the party to see that the NRM dominates once again when it comes to politics and leadership in this country.

Amongst the 1000s of youths that attended the launch was Dr. Kishemeire Patricia the Ambassador of the International Municipal Corpoeration Forum of the BRICS in Uganda. In her speech, she said that Whoever represents the National Resistance Movement is the individual with whom the youths shall align themselves with and no other. She further stated that even amidist the debate of Father or son, she prays that no time comes for the party to choose between the two because are both loved.

“Our commitment is to the principles of NRM; unity, progress, and patriotism. As the young people of the Mass party NRM, we stand ready to engage with whomever the NRM chooses to lead.” she added

The launch of this new youth movement according to many will be a new driving force that will enable the Yellow party clearly win the hearts of the youth who have for long been a big identity of the opposition.
