State House conducts donations as a way of supporting ghetto communities

Through its presidential initiative on Skilling the Girl and boy child project, the State House has today successfully held an outreach to ghetto communities around Kampala with an aim of returning back to the communities, which do forward students to this project.

Items donated include Clothes , Charcoal Stoves, Chairs, Saving boxes, metal widows and doors manufactured by students who are benefiting in this project.

Taking place in the ghetto communities of Kawempe Division, areas that have benefited in today’s reach out include Bwaise, Kimobasa, Kajabula, some parts of kisenyi and Kampala central.

The Project Head Dr Faith Mirembe Katana in her remarks has advised Ugandans not to mix politics with this project and also advised them to embrace the skilling program because it is a sure deal for someone to finish and become an employee or be employed with a small monies.

The Kampala RCC Aminah Naziri Lukanga who was also present, appreciated President Museveni for supporting this project and advised youths to embrace it without fixing political colours for purposes of their development.

Dr. Hillary Musoke Kisanja a senior president adviser on youths has called on the young people in Kampala ghettos to join the PISGBC bacause it’s a sure deal for as far as employment opportunities are concerned.

The presidential initiative on Skilling the Girl and boy child has over 9 centers in kampala and it has so far benefited over 40000 youths between the age of 15 to 35 years with a Ghetto background and it’s a free service with no single coin required for students to be part of this initiative .
