Unruly NUP foot soldiers anger Mpuuga, Ssegona splitting party into factions

It is not bread and butter in the National Unity Platform anymore as the formerly known strong cohesion has started developing cracks between the former DP bloc members and the indigenous NUP supporters.

The split has come to light between the Hon Mpuuga faction that also has Hon Medard Ssegona Vs the foot soliders of NUP who have been at the forefront of undermining and accusing Mpuuga of not only being incompetent but also being a double dealer hobnobbing with the regime in power.

It is alleged that the constant bombardments from the NUP foot soliders influenced Kyagulanyi to sack Mpuuga as LoP replacing him with a less experienced but a favourate person to the foot soldiers a one Joel Ssenyonyi.

Recently Mpuuga the Deputy NUP President in the Central region shut down the NUP Kunga activities in Masaka on allegations that the activities were a waste of time urging people to go and work rather than be politicking all the time.

As we speak, Hon Medard Ssegona the Busiro MP has come out to accuse the foot soliders whom he termed as people of little brains for speaking nonsense and attacking Mpuuga yet they cannot do even ¼ of what he does. Ssegona said that Mpuuga is one of the best activists they have in the party and thus deserves respect.

“What hurts me is that these young boys and girls with a low IQ in our party are busy abusing and insulting Rt Hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba yet they can not do even ¼ of what he does for the party. Those accusing him of double dealing are simply ignorant and donot understand the politics of Uganda. Mpuuga is among the best brains we have in the party and thus deserves respect from these juniors. If your role was to insult him until he wa dropped as LoP, it happened but let him live in peace.” Hon Medard Lubega Ssegona said

However the NUP leadership at Makeree Kavule led by the Secretary General Counsel David Rubongoya denied that such allegations of any existing splits in the party saying these are mere hearsays.
