Breaking ! One dead, twelve hospitalized after consuming witch doctor’s charm

One person has been confirmed dead and twelve others are receiving treatment after a witch doctor convinced them to take charms.

The incident happened in Padwot subcounty Nebbi District yesterday evening.

It’s not clear what the charms was meant for.

The LC3 chairperson of Padwot Sub-county Denis Opio confirmed the incident saying 13 people trully consumed charms administered to them by a yet to be identified witch doctor in Vura west Parish Padwot Sub-county yesterday.

He added ” one person is receiving treatment at Midyere Health Center III whilst out of the twelve hospitalized at Angal Hospital, one person has died”.

The body of the deceased is currently at Angal Hospital.

The identities of the deceased and those hospitalized were not yet revealed by press time.

Recently 15 from Nebbi Municipality were also hospitalized upon consuming a witch doctor’s charm.
