Two Powerful goals by Paidha United SC striker Laurent Danielle Alias Mbape and Midfielder Emmanuel Ocen in the first half were enough to earn Paidha United SC Three points, against Nyahama FC in the Sunday afternoon Regional league encounter at King Stadium Cana.
Nyahama FC’s three clear chances in the first half got squandered by their attackers who were not clinical enough in front of the goal. Additionally, the visitor’s second-half goal was cancelled after the goal scorer was marked offside.
The loss adds to the misery of Nyahama FC who has won only once and drew one in their seven matches played since the beginning of the season. They sit rock bottom with only four points behind Kuluva Rainbow, Alpha Rising Stars and Pajobi United in The Nyagak Zone.
Last week in their away encounter with Arua City at Ababet Greenlight Stadium Arua, Paidha United SC managed to salvage a point after playing goalless.
Maximum Discipline was exhibited in the derby encounter between Paidha United SC and Nyahama FC, not until Paidha United Sc left- back only identified as Oyeny in shirt 3, was red carded after fouling Nyahama FC’s player a few minutes into the end of the game.
The win pushed Paidha United SC to 13 points, just a point behind the second-placed Pakwach Young Stars that played goalless with the placed Paidha Black Angels SC on Saturday afternoon at Bar Okoro Stadium.
Paidha United’s striker Majes shirt 10 failed to convert three clear chances inside the 18-yard box, thanks to the quick response of Nyahama FC’s goalie who severally blocked his powerful shots.
Another glorious chance was missed by Mbape after he was set by United Midfielder Emmanuel Ocen inside the 18-yard box.
The game that started with a slow pace saw the new league entrant Nyahama FC missing their glorious chance in the first half, when their Defender in Shirt 4, Powered a thunderbolt free kick aiming for a goal only to be cleared by United goalie for a Corner Kick.
The Nyahama FC side kept pressing though pulling back from 2-0 down, was harder than hard can be in the greater Nebbi Derby.
Elsewhere in Nyagak Zone, Zeu Central FC travelled to Arua were beaten 3-1 by the home side Kuluva Rainbow FC. Zeu Central FC heads to the Christmas break with only six points out of the seven games played since the beginning of the season.
The first-placed Paidha Black Angels SC played 0-0 with Pakwach Young Stars.
Meanwhile, Nebbi Central FC has lost their third greater Nebbi Derby after the Pakwach-based Pajobi United FC on Sunday afternoon beat them 1-0 in Pakwach. Last week, Nebbi Central FC lost at home to their rival Paidha Black Angels SC adding to their poor run since the beginning of the season.
In Arua, another shocking Sunday afternoon encounter saw the new entrant Padea Rising Stars securing a vital point away from home after drawing 0-0 with Alpha Rising Stars. Padea Rising stars set tongues wagging as they received two red cards but held the home side up to the final whistle. The draw pushed Padea Rising Stars to 8 points after seven matches played and they level with Nebbi Central FC.
Elsewhere, Arua City FC suffered a huge 4-0 defeat to Pakwach Super Eagles FC away from home in Pakwach Town on Saturday afternoon.
