The former Minister without Portfolio Hajji Abdul Nadduli has accused land brokers of conniving with land grabbers causing endless havoc in Uganda, particularly in the central region.

Al- haji Nadduli says that many people have become landless, in this way.

“Many people have lost their land here after land brokers conniving with rich men who invest in money to grab Land from helpless people,” says Al-haji Nadduli.

He added that the country has lost land of cultural sites which contribute greatly to the development of the tourism sector.

Nadduli’s request to President Museveni to arrest land brokers conniving with land grabbers to steal land has come at a time when land broker Yiga Allan also calling himself ‘Lord Allan Yiga” meaning untouchable with powers to grab Land, is attempting to grab Land of Kalooli Kisitu’s family lineage at Kaligwa Mpambire.

The place is the cultural site with the seat of the Family lineage (Omutuba) of Kiyimba – Ssebwalunnyo at Kaligwa-Mpambire, Mawokota. Also the Muwanga’s Forest Nansubuga’s Forest, and Kayanja’s shrine.

Lord Allan Yiga tried to sell the said land using a forged agreement in the name of Nakayizza Teopista claiming to receive the land from one Nalumansi Kasifa a sister of the owner of the land Kalooli Kisitu.

His attempt failed after residents informed family members and told the purchaser facts about the land questioning them where they got the right to sell the ancestral home of Kiyimba Ssebwalunnyo at Kaligwa-Mpambire, Mawokota.
