“Put politics on hold and join hands to work.” SPA/PA Ruth Katushabe tells Bukomansimbi residents during Agric Expo

The Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations Hon Ruth Katushabe was among the top guests at the Bukomansimbi Agriculture Expo that took place on the 28th October 2023 at Kitasa Play Ground in Bukomansimbi Town Council. The Expo was also graced by the Prime Minister Hon Robinah Nabbanja, State Minister for Agriculture Fred Kyakulaga Bwino, NRM CEC Vice Chairperson Hon Godfrey Kiwanda, among others

During her speech, Hon Ruth Katushabe asked the residents of Bukomansimbi to put their political differences aside and join hands to work to see that they can defeat the deadly disease of poverty in the area and the country at-large. She added that politics can wait for now till 2025 but let people use this time to concentrate on doing things that are productive.

“Let us put politics on hold until 2025. This is time for working and let’s join hands together to work and defeat poverty.” She said

Hon Ruth Katushabe also added that she had recently traveled to Bunyoro area and she was impressed with the way the people of Bunyoro are concentrating on working than politics concluding that Bunyoro has now left greater Masaka behind interms of development simply because Masaka people are on politics while people in Bunyoro area are working.

She also used the opportunity to thank the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his efforts in fighting poverty in the country through a number of initiatives like PDM, EMYOOGA which have helped so many people.

She also thanked the Prime Minister who happened to be the Chief guest for sparing time to come and see what people in Bukomansimbi are doing especially the agriculturialists. Her together with the Prime Minister besides the expo visited a number of farmers in the area to see how they are successfully carrying out farming with a view of helping others to also take the same path.

Hon Ruth Katushabe vowed to work with everyone to see that the lives of the people of Bukomansimbi are changed positively regardless of which party one belongs because poverty knows no political color, gender or tribe.
