Kololo Independence grounds have earthquaked today the 16th Sept 2023 as thousands of NRM supporters converged at the venue to witness the album launch of Museveni Awooma by Munamasaka Nsereko Emmanuel.
The function has been graced by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who also doubles as the NRM National Chairperson. The occasion also attracted a number of high profile government officials like Hon Ruth Katushabe the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajati Minsa Kabanda the Kampala Minister, Hon Godfrey Kiwanda the NRM Buganda vice Chairman ,among others
In his speech Munamasaka Nsereko thanked all those who fought hard to see the function happens even amidst intimidations from the office of the National Chairman, Kyambogo. He thanked Hon Ruth Katushabe for working tirelessly to see that the function is a success. He also thanked the President for sparing time to come and launch the album even when news had spread earlier that the President was not going to attend the function.
In the speech of the President, Gen Museveni thanked Munamasaka for coming up with such good songs adding that Munamasaka is an example of a grass to grace person. The President said he first met him in Mukono in 2010 and realized that he was a good person with alot of potential in his music career and that’s why he opted to support him since then.
The President also vowed to keep supporting all organized groups to see that every person can join the money economy.
