The president of Uganda’s leading opposition political party: National Unity Platform (NUP) Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert has resurrected the struggle to defeat President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni after a failed attempt in 2021. #WhisperEyeNews
Since the presidential elections in 2021, Hon Kyagulanyi has organised the first mega rallies calling the Ugandan masses to unite against President Museveni’s prolonged rule.
On one of his best rallies so far in the ongoing campaign to launch his party offices in various parts of Uganda at Mayuge in the Busoga Sub-region, Mr Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine called upon residents of Busoga to support his mission of dislodging President Museveni from Power.
“Mission to defeat Museveni is on!,” Says Mr Wine.
“You have the highest number of teenage mothers in the region. You have the highest number of poor people in the country even when Museveni came here he was surprised by the poverty levels here, yet he has contributed to this poverty deliberately,” he stated.
“You have the highest number of sugar factories and sugar can plantations, but you can’t afford sugar, you have the source of the river Nile where power is generated but you can’t afford electricity bills. This is deliberate”, Mr Kyagulanyi explained.
He promised to make reforms once elected into power and assured Mayuge residents that he was willing to use all affordable means to oust Mr Museveni from Power.
“You have many challenges including poor health facilities, poor education institutions, and low standards of living among others, but the solution to all is dislodging Museveni from power. It’s the solution we have to save our country,” Mr Wine said.
“Join us and we work together to defeat Museveni who is preparing his son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba to take over power. He is building a monarchy, and we can’t accept it, never!” Kyagulanyi warned.
Joined by NUP leaders from various areas, Mr Kyagulangi addressed big crowds as his supporters were chanting People Power and NUP slogans.
By Press time Mr Kyagulanyi is set to visit Mbale to drag his mobilisation drive after visiting Busia yesterday and receiving hundreds of cheerful supporters.
