The National Unity Platform (NUP), the leading opposition political party in Uganda was shocked when their members of parliament attended Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Baraza meeting in Soroti.

Njeru municipality MP Jimmy Lwanga and Bukoto South MP Twaha Kagabo attend the MK Baraza meeting in Soroti yesterday, praising Gen Muhoozi for his services to the country.

Members of NUP demand action against the rebel MPs Kagabo and Lwanga as soon as possible. Some suggest that they should be expelled from the party.

In 2020 Arthur Mugabi was the leading NUP ticket contender for Njeru municipality but with the influence of the invisible hand, the ticket was awarded to Jimmy Lwanga.
