Lubaga Hospital unveils first ever transplant facility

Patients that require treatment and surgical interventions patients with a broad spectrum of diseases requiring heart, lung, kidney, liver, pancreas, islet, hematopoietic stem cell and multiple organ transplants can now be treated at Lubaga Hospital.

The Lubaga Hospital has built the first-ever transplant facility unit in the country, making Uganda a potential medical tourist destination in the region.

The theatre has been named after the late Dr Rita Moser, the first medical superintendent of Lubaga Hospital.

It has been commissioned by the Archbishop of Kampala Diocese, Paul Ssemwogerere today at Lubaga Hospital.
