Museveni’s EX Minister Eng John Nasasira, sick, flown to Turkey in bad shape

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s former Minister of the NRM-led government in different portfolios, Eng John Nasasira, is sick and has been flown to Turkey for medical treatment.

John Nwoono Nasasira was flown to Turkey this month.

This was the second time John Nasasira has ended up in a hospital within this year.

John Nasasira, who was most recently the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, resigned as an MP in August 2016, citing “ill health.

Although the nature of his sickness is unknown, government officials said John Nasasira had been battling the ailment for some time.

The illness was responsible for his long absence from the political space for some good years now.

A source at the Kazo former MP said President Museveni who approved his resignation from his cabinet back in 2016 told Mr Nasasira to seek serious experts after his unsteady health.

The source said John Nasasira was already in and out of the hospital in Uganda before the family considered his desire to be flown to Turkey.
