Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, a prominent Ugandan opposition politician, activist, and musician has come out to speak about the warring factions of one the largest political party Forum for Democratic Change.
Bobi Wine who gained significant attention for his candidacy in the 2021 Ugandan presidential election, running against long-serving President Yoweri Museveni has aired out his labelled comment this morning.
Turning to his social media, Bobi Wine said, “We must not celebrate when the dictator succeeds in putting down another political party opposing him”.
“Instead, we must pick lessons. Fighting a military regime is no easy task.”, he added.
This week FDC outgoing spokesperson Hon Ssemujju Nganda accused party Secretary General Hon Nandala Mafabi and FDC President Eng Amuriat Patrick Obo of harbouring intentions of dragging the party to President Museveni after receiving large sums of money from State House.
In a presser held yesterday, Both leaders denied the allegations labelled on them by Kira Municipality MP Ssemujju Nganda.
By Press time the Forum for Democratic Change Chairman Hon Wasswa Birigwa had been denied access to the party headquarters by FDC workers on orders of Nandala Mafabi according to Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura.
Bobi Wine has been known for his calls for change and for advocating for a more inclusive and accountable government. He has been a key figure in the opposition movement and has rallied support from Ugandan youth and citizens who are discontented with the long-standing leadership
