A Ugandan pens a powerful letter to President Museveni and First son Muhoozi, leaves netizens talking

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is a man whose name is on everyone’s lips as far as the 2026 succession politics are concerned and the wars between him and the opposition has left the country divided into various faction.

This has been witnessed in what is labelled as buying off opposition leaders.

The leaders’ war of words has been pretty much silent, leaving the war of words to their loyal soldiers who, to say the least, have excelled well in keeping the temperatures rising. On Wednesday 12 June 2023, a Ugandan took to social media to address the PresidentMuseveni in an open letter in which he hit him hard with some strong message. Read the letter below,

Open Letter To Dictator Museveni And His Son Muhoozi about The Buying Of Opposition Figures and Representatives.

Dear Dictator KagutaMuseveni and @ Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba,

I hope this letter finds you well and off your delusional thinking but also finds your son Muhoozi in a sober mood.

I write to address the use of taxpayers’ money to buy off political opponents and opposition figures plus celebrities that you believe such actions will weaken the people’s struggle to end your 40 years of dictatorship, misrule, abduction, torture and human rights disrespect.

However, we want to make it unequivocally clear that no amount of financial coercion can quell the unwavering determination and resilience of the Ugandan people and their resolve to overthrow not only you but also your clowns through whom you have mistreated the people of Uganda.

Eco Peter wisely succinctly expressed the sentiment felt by many when he stated, “We can speak for ourselves now. We see and understand the politics of this country. Buying representatives isn’t buying us.” These powerful words reflect the prevailing sentiment among Ugandans who refuse to be manipulated or silenced by your desperate attempts to cling to power.

The people’s struggle for freedom, justice, human rights respect, the rule of law, equality, better services and genuine democratic principles goes far beyond any transaction of money or influence.

It is a struggle rooted in the belief that true leadership emerges from the trust, respect, and support of the people, not through underhanded tactics or the compromising of moral integrity.

Dictatorship may grant you temporary control, but history has shown time and again that oppressive regimes crumble under the weight of their own hubris and the resolute spirit of the people. The strength and determination of the citizens of Uganda cannot be weakened by your misguided attempts to suppress their voices. We are steadfast in this pursuit of freedom.

Rather than wasting resources on tactics that further entrench your grip on power, I implore you to redirect your focus and invest in the well-being and progress of Uganda. By prioritizing education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare. Embrace the demands of the people.

Dictator Kaguta Museveni and your son Kainerugaba, the people’s struggle cannot be subdued by the buying of political opponents. It is a struggle that emanates from the hearts and minds of individuals who envision a brighter future for our beloved nation Uganda.

We urge you to listen to our voices, recognize our power, and join us in shaping a future that is founded on the principles of democracy, justice, freedom, equality and prosperity for all by stepping down since you have failed us as a country in almost all aspects.

The winds of change are blowing, and the people of Uganda are resolute. It is time for you to step aside and allow a new chapter in our nation’s history to unfold—one that is defined by inclusivity, discipline, integrity, fidelity, reliability and service delivery.

With Unyielding Contempt,

Magumba Medi Morgans Nsonga

Uncircumcised Muzukulu

In reply to the letter, another Ugandan quickly contradicted with the above letter saying

Blood wange we still need u a lot

What are your thoughts on the above letter to Ruto?
