It’s a moment of clarity and when We speak of Uganda’s natural beauty and its economic growth, you can’t leave out Gen . Museveni’s selflessness in nation-building and unity, which has made Uganda a great country today.
Gen Museveni has steered amazing Uganda’s economic growth over the last 20 years. In the last five years alone, it has grown between 6 and 7% on an annual basis. Many African nations have great potential but lack stability and security. what role has Gen Museveni played in stability and anda’s unique success story?
The president has always said that stability in the world, and specifically in Africa, depends on philosophy, ideology, and strategy. And if you don’t get those three correct, you will end up failing.
That’s why by 1986 corruption was 200%, Our current corruption perception index is 74 which is below the average and our GDP was USD 1. 5 billion, by the end of 2023 it will be USD 42.6 billion
Our export earnings were 411 million dollars and our current export earnings are above 3.55 billion dollars. This success is all attributed to the good guidance, leadership and resistance, and experience of Gen Museveni as a president.
For over three decades now, the security of people and property has been the biggest milestone of the ruling NRM government.
The country has for more than 20 years now not experienced any security threats. Guns went completely quiet when the government defeated Alice Lakwena’s Holy Spirit Movement, Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army, Jamil Mukulu’s Allied Democratic Front (ADF), and the Force Obote Back (FOBA), ushering in total peace for the first time for more than 50 years.
This is not to say that there have not been incidences of upheavals such as cattle rustlers in Karamoja who were armed with modern guns However, the quick intervention of the security forces, including the national army of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) overcame these challenges.
So as long as Gen Museveni still exists in the leadership of Uganda, we are destined to succeed and overcome the rest of the downs.
That’s why we still need Yoweri Museveni as the president of Uganda.
