Ntungamo RDC, Mucuguzi Geofrey dragged to court, says he will not appear before any court

A local man Mr. Gareeba Jackson has dragged the Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner Mucuguzi Geofrey to court over an act of disrespect or disobedience toward a court or interference with its orderly process known as the court of contempt. #WhisperEyeNews

There was a temporary injunction restraining one Kashobire Esau from trespassing on the land of Mr. Gareeba Jackson until the final verdict of the court however the nonsense RDC ordered otherwise.

The embattled RDC now faces court proceedings according to the notice of motion seen on Whisper Eye desk.

In the Notice of Motion, Mr. Gareeba Jackson wants the court to find Mucuguzi Geofrey in contempt of court over orders the court issued on the 19th day of October 2022.

He also wants the court to order the arrest and immediate civil imprisonment of Mucuguzi Geofrey to six months for disobedience of the temporary injunction issued by the court restraining Kashobire Easu and his agents or assigns or anyone prompting to be acting on his behalf from interfering with the possessory or his ownership rights.

He also wants the court to order RDC Mucuguzi Geofrey to pay him 10 Million UGX for damages caused when he disobeyed court orders.

When a court process server wanted to serve RDC Mucuguzi Geofrey he refused, the defiant RDC insisted that he will not sign for any document and he will not appear in any court when called, he said ” he could not receive any document and that this was a security matter and he informed the Deputy chief justice about it on court day held in Ntungamo”, which prompted Mr. Jackson to seek court orders that service of notice of motion and hearing notice be substituted service in the newspaper of wider circulation in the RDC Mucuguzi Geofrey jurisdiction which is Ntungamo.

Now the case in question will be heard on the 14th day of June 2023 and if no appearance is made by RDC Mucuguzi Geofrey or any of the persons authorized by Law the case may be heard and decided in his absence.

The same embattled RDC was interrogated by the state House Anti-corruption Unit when he and a DVO sold off Mr. Kikwerere’s cows on allegations that they were sick and they failed to account for proceeds.

Our efforts to get his side of the story were futile on his known numbers
