South Korea’s (ESMV – II) – the working-level invitation training of Mpigi district technical staff

The delegation of Mpigi District Local Government technical staff with support from @KoicaUganda @theGNI @MAAIF_Uganda @MAAIF_NFLC mofpedU has ended their working-level invitation training in South Korea on the Establishment of Sustainable Model Village Project (ESMV- I I) intended to improve homesteads in the district. #WhisperEyeNews

The Mpigi District team was headed by the Deputy Chief Administrative Office (DCAO) Mr Emmanuel Ssempala. The DCOA appreciated South Korea through Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the continued support to the Mpigi district particularly in the implementation of this project.

He asked those who attended the training to implement whatever they learned during the training in their homes and villages, in order to provide leadership to their communities.

“Members and colleagues, plant trees in your compound, champion community works in your villages. We can establish sustainable model villages in our district. Let’s take the lead,” says Mr Ssempala during his closing remarks.

The DCOA also highlighted how the ESMV -II can help in the implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM) in the Mpigi district.

The delegation presented a detailed country report which was delivered by Mpigi District commercial officer Mr. Kazibwe Ronald in one of the sessions.

The president of the Korea Environmental Agriculture Development Institute (KEADI) Dr Jee appreciates the delegation of the Mpigi district and promised to continue working together to achieve their goals.

The training was fully sponsored by KOICA, KEADI, and Good Neighbors International (GNI) and intended to improve the implementation of the Established Sustainable Model Village Project (ESMV-II) in Mpigi.

The ESMV-II Mpigi district project Liaison Officer Mr Lutalo Michael told Whisper Eye News that the training has been crucial to the staff and the district has benefited a lot from it.

Others who attended the training include; Mpigi District Community Development Officer Ms. Nabuuma Annet, District Water Officer Ssekalegga Joseph, District Planner Mr. Nsobya Charles, Dr. Ssebwana James the district senior veterinary officer, and Nakintu Carol the Town Agent of Bongole Ward in Buwama Town Council.
