The 4-star General who was accompanied by the KCCA Executive Director Dorothy Kisaaka and other authority Engineers said that there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make sure that the road network in the capital can reach the bar of what a capital city should look like.

The General was saddened by the numerous portholes, blocked sewage lines and channels as well as the rubbish all over the place.

The General however pledged his support to the KCCA to make sure that the roads are repaired in time and at a fast speed because the situation now ashames the capital city of the country.

Kampala is seen by many as a porthole city. Some Ugandans used social media under the famous #Kampalaportholeexibition to showcase the numerous portholes in the city roads so as to tempt the relevant authorities to do something about it.

The exhibition forced Gen Museveni to order the Ministry of Finance to release 6 billion shillings to KCCA so that some of the portholes could be fixed.
