Lukwago sacks Mulyanyama as KCCA FC board member amidst their 2026 Lord Mayorship rivalry

Earlier this week the Lord Mayor of Kampala Salongo Erias Lukwago raised the axe sacking the Mayor of Makindye Ali Nganda Mulyanyama from the KCCA FC board. #WhisperEyeNews

Lukwago accused Mulyanyama of being involved in player transfers especially sales where he was allegedly getting commissions in the due processes.

The two have for some time now not been seeing eye to eye after Mulyanyama declared his intentions to stand for the Lord Mayorship in 2026 a seat Lukwago has owned since 2011.

Some inside sources within KCCA say that Lukwago’s reaction has something to do with the 2026 polls as he has rushed to speed govern the ever-growing popularity of Mulyanyama especially among workers at City Hall and the football team.

Following the unfortunate news, Mulyanyama reacted saying that Lukwago is simply playing his politics but this will not stop him(Mulyanyama) from contesting the Lord Mayorship.

“I already told my people of Makindye that this is my last term as their Mayor as am going for the Lord Mayorship.

Lukwago should know that the Lord Mayorship seat is not part of his assets and so everyone interested is free to contest.” Mulyanyama said

We shall Keep you posted.
