Pressure: Embattled Ministers Kasaija, Oboth return Karamoja Iron sheets

The Minister for Finance Planning and Economic Devt Hon. Matia Kasaija has followed suit with the Presidential directive and returned the controversial Iron sheets that were meant for the Karamoja region. #WhisperEyeNews Reports

Kasaija is among the top Ministers who allegedly received 300 pre-painted Iron sheets in February this year meant for the Karamoja region under the office of the prime Minister.

Yesterday Kasaija delivered the 298 Iron sheets while the 2 pieces were rejected as they got damaged during transportation back to Namanve OPM stores.

But the team from the Minister’s office led by Jamil Tumusiime his Communications Manager promised to deliver the 2 Iron sheets by Thursday this week since they have to be produced on order from the Factory.

A team of Police detectives and officials from the Office of Prime Minister led by Senior Administrator Mr. Kayongo at Namanve inspected, and verified the Iron sheets, and found true of those that were sent to Minister Kasaija.

We have also learned that the Member of Parliament for West Budama Central Jacob Oboth Oboth who also doubles as Minister of State for Defense and Veterans Affairs returned iron sheets to the Office of the Prime Minister.
