“NUP using torture gimmicks to gain political mileage.” Gashumba

Sisimuka Uganda founder Mr. Frank Gashumba has come out to speak about the surprising change in the version of the story by Eric Mwesigwa an alleged torture victim.

Mwesigwa had previously said he had been tortured by security forces but within a blink of an eye, directed the guns towards Kamwokya accusing NUP of using him in a gimmick to accuse the state of torture.

Mr Frank Gashumba says he is not surprised that Eric Mwesigwa has come out with such a confession because NUP has in the past been using the same stratagem to taint the image of government and win sympathy from its funders in Europe and America.

Gashumba says when NUP and other opposition parties went to Nairobi for a Human rights conference, they took with them boda boda accident victims and lame people whom they displayed as victims of torture by the NRM government.

Gashumba added that he was surprised to see a one Eric Omondi a top Kenyan comedian displayed as one of the victims yet the young man had nothing to do with such issues.

Gashumba says he is thus not surprised to see Eric Mwesigwa coming out to point fingers at NUP adding that even more will come out and condemn the Kamwokya led party for using them and refusing to pay them.

Gashumba who is also the Media Cordinator for team MK project said that Kyagulanyi should stop dreaming that he will ever become the President of Uganda through using such shameful stunts because the real leader Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba is becoming President of Uganda immediately after his father.
