The Bavandimwe community in Uganda led by Mr. Frank M. Gashumba have filed a case against National Unity Platform’s Hon Geoffrey Lutaaya over his tribal remarks on the Bavandimwe. #WhisperEyeNews
The Kakuuto MP was recorded in a video asking people to fight the Bavandimwe whom he accused of being the main supporters of Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s government that has allegedly led to the suffering of people in the country, especially the Baganda.
In a video clip, Lutaaya said that Bavandimwe ( Ugandans of Rwanda origin) have gained a lot from this government since they are favored by the regime in power yet the rest of the indigenous Ugandans are suffering and others are abducted and tortured because they do not support the regime in power.
Yesterday Mr. Gashumba said a case has been opened against Lutaaya for promoting tribalism and spreading hate speech against the Bavandimwe something that can easily lead to genocide in the country.
“As the Bavandimwe community in Uganda, we have decided to file a case against Lutaaya for his unpleasant words against us.
The genocide in Rwanda was not started by the regular citizens of Rwanda but rather politicians just like Lutaaya who kept on spreading hate using their positions of authority. ” He said.
MP Lutaaya was unavailable for comment at the time of this story.
