Big Story:MP Nambooze says, I can dump NUP for NRM,

Mukono Municipality MP Hon Betty Nambooze Bakireke while appearing on one of the media stations on Tuesday night said that she totally has no reason why she cannot join the Museveni-led National Resistance Movement Party.

Nambooze said that she can join the NRM only if she realizes that the yellow party is trending and loved among the people of Mukono Municipality a constituency she represents.

“If the people of Mukono love NRM, I will abandon NUP and go to NRM. I am a flexible politician who is always in line with what my people want.” She said

Nambooze is one of the politicians who have roamed through a number of political parties to maintain a grip on her seat as a member of parliament.

She once served in NRM as a law enforcement officer, later joining DP and then oscillating to Kyagulanyi’s National Unity Platform.

Her words come at a time when a section of NUP foot soldiers have started pointing fingers at Legislators including Nambooze who they see as not loyal to the principal (Bobi Wine) and not doing anything to see that the struggle reaches the next level to oust Gen Museveni from power.

This is Nambooze’s 4th term in parliament with no signs of giving up on the seat saying that she will only rest when Gen Museveni is thrown out of power.
