Any dialogue with the regime should strictly be on how it quits power, says FDC

The Forum for Democratic Change @FDCOfficial1 under the leadership of Hon Patrick Oboi Amuriat @PatrickAmuriat has made it clear that they cannot go into any negotiations with Gen Museveni unless the dialogue is about how Museveni leaves power. #WhisperEyeNews

FDC was answering back to the former leader of the opposition Prof Ogonga Latigo who was advising NUP and FDC to dialogue with the regime in power to stop the bloodshed among their supporters.

Prof Latigo said that it is evident the regime cannot look as its opponents are playing tricks to oust it out and whatever the regime does are counter-reactions to make sure the government doesn’t collapse.

But FDC has made it clear that Uganda’s political challenges will be addressed through defiance, not classroom talks.

“It is ridiculous to talk of an open dialogue when Ugandans are kidnapped in broad daylight.” FDC

“For ages, we have been clear that any dialogue with the regime should strictly be on how to quit power. Ug’s political challenges will be addressed through defiance, not a paparazzi event.” The Party added
