“Gen Muhoozi is a great soldier but his tweets could have caused a diplomatic crisis” Ernesto Otafiire

Son of Gen Otafiire , Afande Ernesto Otafiire has come out to applaud the recently promoted Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for his dedicated service and positive contributions in many ways as a military officer in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces . #WhisperEyeNews

Afande Ernesto says that there is no doubt Gen Muhoozi is a well trained and hard working officer who has in many times been part of the growth and professionalization of the armed forces and thus his efforts are felt among the men in uniform and country at large.

Afande Ernesto however said that the recent tweets that the now 4 star General authored using his official tweeter handle were unpleasant that could have amounted to a situation that could have caused a diplomatic crisis with Kenya a country that has for long had a strong and solid bilateral relationship with Uganda.

Afande Ernesto adds that through out one’s military career, a soldier is taught to respect the principles and doctrines of armed forces to steer away from internal affairs of a sovereign friendly state and to be non-partisan by all means.

“General Muhoozi has contributed positively in many ways to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces . I salute him for that . But where he crossed the line was authoring tweets that amount to a situation that can cause a diplomatic crisis especially a country that has a strong and solid bilateral relationship with Uganda that follows the doctrine of East African Community and PanAfricanism ” Afande Ernesto told this media

“We are all taught to respect the principles and doctrines of armed forces through one’s military career to steer away from internal affairs of a sovereign friendly state and be non-partisan.” He added

Afande Ernesto also used the opportunity to congratulate Muhoozi Kainerugaba upon being promoted to the rank of a 4 star General saying that he surely deserves the rank. He wished him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
