The spokesperson of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces Gen Felix Kulaigye has distanced himself from rumors that the Uganda security forces are targeting supporters of the National Unity Platform a party that is at loggerheads with the ruling National Resistance Movement. #WhisperEyeNews
Kulaigye says that he is aware certain arrests are taking place in the country but Security is only targeting those committing crimes or suspected of committing crimes but has nothing to do with anyone’s political affiliations.
The rampant kidnaps by plane cloth armed groups roaming around in minivans commonly known as drones have put the public in panic with most people complaining that their loved ones are taken at gunpoint to unknown destinations with some disappearing for good.
Kulaigye said that there are certain criminals who are masquerading as security officers who kidnap people and rob them of their properties including money but the security is doing all that it can to make sure that this kind of crime is totally dealt with.
