“It was morally wrong for NUP youths to laugh at Gen Tumwine’s death.” MP Nambooze

Mukono Municipality MP Hon Nambooze Bakireke Betty has joined a list of many top leaders who have come out to castigate the behavior of a section of people on social media who jubilated and laughed loud after Hon. Gen Elly Tumwine – MP died. #WhisperEyeNews

Nambooze said that in Buganda once a person dies, those left on earth are not supposed to mock or judge him but leave that to the almighty God to determine the fate of the deceased.

She added that if any person wished to jubilate or rejoice about the death of Gen Tumwine, he or she would have done it in silence but not taking the excitement to show media that ended up hurting others especially the innocent family members of the fallen General.

Nambooze however said that all leaders should be careful with their actions while they are still alive and in power because just as the golden rule states ‘you should treat others the way you want to be treated yourself’ they should act in a way that may not hurt others otherwise when they die, people will toast glasses and celebrate their deaths.
