Diageo One App is a self-service innovation that enables business customers to place orders for the company’s various products and have them delivered at their convenience.

While speaking at the launch, the Uganda Breweries Limited Sales Director, Ben Mbuvi said that with the Diageo One App, a client can plan the orders and plan when to be served and a client does not want to be served the truck will not turn up at the doorstep to inconvenience.

Mbuvi assured the bar business owners that Uganda Breweries Limited trucks would continue making their usual rounds but stated that the only difference with using the Diageo One App is that the customers would dictate their order and what they want to be delivered to them.

“A business owner needs Diageo One App to be able to restock depleted items, education on Diageo’s product portfolio and pricing, and updates on Innovations and products from Diageo” Mbuvi said.

He explained that Diageo One App is available on both the APP store and Google Play and is user-friendly, and carefully designed that one can find any product with ease.

He said that for the retailers, the application allows their businesses to operate at maximum without waiting for the daily or weekly distributor truck to buy UBL products.

Mbuvi said that this trend was certainly accelerated by COVID-19 pandemic, and as Uganda emerge from pandemic restrictions there’s no doubt that digital will continue to play a vital role in business strategies as far as convenience is concerned.
