KCCA enforcement team grabs 260 street children off the streets of Kampala, transports them to Napak District.

The Kampala Capital City Authority – KCCA enforcement team through its operation smart city has today sheaved over 260 street children off the streets of Kampala as one of the projects aimed at making Kampala a city worth being called the capital of the pearl of Africa.

Throughout the day, the enforcement team was seen engaged in running battles with the street children with some managing to escape the arrests.

According to the KCCA spokesperson, all the street children who have been grabbed are being transported to Napak District for rehabilitation where they will be reunited with their families , recieve, formal education while the parents will be equipped with skills for job creation at Kobulin Youth Skills Center in Napak.

KCCA vowed to make sure that Kampala is a smart city with no street children, clean with organized motorists as well as well equipped with the latest security and technological equipment to reduce the crime rate.
