Soroti By-Elections: Police go on a raid and invade MP Adeke house, arrests Hon Partick Amuriat, MP Isabirye

Uganda police has raided the home of Soroti Woman MP Hon Adeke Anna Ebaju and arrested several Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leaders. #WhisperEyeNews #UgandaNews #Uganda

Police has invaded the house of Soroti Woman MP, and they have arrested the FDC Leader, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, reports on Whisper Eye desk confirmed.

Jinja North MP, Hon. Hon Isabirye David Aga has also been arrested by police and whisked away to unknown locations.

According to eyewitnesses, the home was raided at 11 pm by security forces who later teargassed it.

The campaign team of FDC candidates says most cars were found with flat tyres and documents like appointment letters were seized by security.

By press, time voting had kicked off.

Police confirmed the arrest of 43 people.

According to East Kyoga Police Spokesperson, ASP Ageca Oscar, those arrested include the FDC Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat and others who were bribing people and campaigning yet the campaigning period was over! They are currently detained at Soroti CPS!
