Hon Haj Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira who won the Kawempe North MP seat on the National Unity Platform ticket tasted the wrath of his own people as they almost beat him calling him a traitor.

Kazibwe had gone to be part of the meeting which had been called by the Kawempe Mayor Dr Emmanuel Serunjonji to forge a solution for the street vendors that had been evicted by the Kampala Capital City Authority – KCCA enforcement team off the streets of Kawempe.

As soon as the vendors saw Bashir enter the meet, they went wild with one grabbing the former Nbs presenter by his collar and calling him a traitor to the struggle as he decided to dine with those in power.

Al Haji Erias Lukwago the Lord Mayor of Kampala saved Bashir as he asked the angry mob to calm down to let Kazibwe Bashir use the back door to exit the meeting.

Lukwago eventually escorted Kazibwe who moved out cursing why people think he deals with the regime yet he doesn’t.

As he moved out, onlookers realized that some of his shirt buttons were plucked off during the scuffle but went out unhurt or injured.
