The President General of the National Unity Platform ( NUP) Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine has called for the immediate future release of his second in command of the leading opposition to party NUP.

In a statement shared, Bobi Wine said, ” I have learned about the arrest of our Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya and his driver on some bogus charges of threatening violence in the recently concluded by election of Omoro.”
” For me it’s not surprising. The Museveni regime, like all dictatorships, thinks it will weaken and subdue us by intimidation and harassment.” He added.

Hang in there comrades, it will be well. He further added.

Earlier Whisper Eye was able to confirm the arrest of NUP SG over what has come to be related to the Omoro By-Election incidents.

However, by press time various NUP leaders were stationed at Nateete police demanding the release of a law don.

We shall keep you updated.
