Mr. Busuulwa was welcomed to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) with a new Boda Boda and he immediately denounced DP, handing over his DP party membership card to minister Haji Kasolo, promising to campaign for NRM and support president Museveni for life.

“From today onwards, I’m no longer a member of DP, No! I have joined NRM and am ready to support president Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni for life,” says Mr. Muscout.

“I really appreciate minister Kasolo for the gift of this Boda Boda which I’m going to use to spread the gospel of NRM across Masaka region,” he added.

DP members attribute poverty as the cause of Mr. Muscout’s decision to join his long-time foes in NRM, thus calling for economic reforms in the country.

The representative of the Masaka sub-region on DP National Executive Committee (NEC) Mr. Lukyamuzi Dick told Whisper Eye News that Mr. Muscout has been working with NRM for some time, and they had information.

“Mr. Busuulwa is a political prostitute, he was in DP and joined Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), he returned in DP, he joined NRM, afterward rejoined DP, and now he has joined NRM again,” said Mr. Lukyamuzi.

Mr. Lukyamuzi said that DP is experiencing a crisis that calls for the calling of party organ meetings to resolve.

This comes after another Masaka opposition stalwart Robert Kambugu was also named Lwengo Deputy RDC amidst tension.

Ronald Kasekende another youthful politician from Masaka also blamed poverty on the rising defections of young politicians to NRM Fold.
