The self-proclaimed only woman General in the National Unity Platform ( NUP), a party led by Former Kaydondo East MP Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu is battling the after-effects of a terrible car accident she suffered in Kumi district.

She was first admitted to Soroti Referral hospital before being referred to Rubaga Hospital in Kampala, sad the condition worsened until now being referred to Nsambya Hospital.

Traveling in a Toyota Wish car registration number UBG 604R with seven from Iganga, two members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Waiswa Denis from Iganga district, and Yakubu Kiggundu from Kawempe Kazo Angola ward B councilor in Kawempe perished on spot in the accident as they approached Kkumi town.

About five others including now admitted Nusifa Nakato, Denis popularly known as Dan City, and Sharif among others are admitted to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The car was traveling to Omoro to join the campaign team of NUP candidate Toolit Simon in the just concluded by-election.

“Comrade Nusifa Nakato’s condition is steadily improving. We’ve checked on her this evening Let’s continue praying for her. Many thanks to all comrades who are spending time with her in hospital and giving her the much-needed care and support. ,” says NUP SG David Lewis Rubongoya

Erias Lukwago , Kampala Lord Mayaor also visited Nusfiah Nakato at Nsambya and wished her a quick recovery.

Nusifah Nakato was elected Lord councilor Kawempe North on the National Unity Platforms ticket defeating all her competitors in the race.

She is a renowned Museveni critic and self pproclaimed freedom fighter.
