Nabbanja while commissioning this initiative at Ntinda today said the government is determined to make sure it uses all channels for every Ugandan to get covid 19 vaccines.
Nabbanja lauded president Museveni for creating an enabling environment for the private sector to shrive.
“The Vaccines Access Initiative(VAI) a private facility in Ntinda Kampala we have launched today is a key step in ensuring that many Ugandans get the Covid19 jab to prevent the possible resurgence of the disease&severity of infections. These efforts are most appreciated.” Nabbania said
The centre that is located in Ntinda Kampala has a capacity of vaccinating 4000 people per day and the same centre is in the process of establishing a vaccine manufacturing plant in Uganda.
Meanwhile, the managing director of the vaccines access initiative Cedric Akwesigye says the initiative is the first private vaccination and storage centre in Uganda.
He says the centre will offer vaccination for covid 19 and other ailments to the population at subsidized rates.
