“Respect the army by retiring your son so that he engages in politics.” Gen Muntu tells Gen Museveni

Former Army Commander Gen Mugisha Muntu has advised Gen Museveni to retire his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba from the army so that he can engage in politics as he wishes. #Uganda #UgandaNews #WhisperEyeNews

Muntu says the Uganda army was built on blood and sacrifice and thus it needs to be respected by any one who wants to engage in active politics.

Muntu adds that Muhoozi as a citizen of Uganda has right to engage in politics but only after he leaves the army so that not to contradict with the constitution of Uganda which prohibits a serving army officer from participating in politics.

Muntu further adds that it is so disappointing that Gen Museveni is preparing his son to take over after him because this is a total betrayal to those Ugandans who sacrificed their all to liberate this country in the 1980s.

“Some of us went to the bush to fight and liberate this country. Museveni overstaying in power and bringing his son after was not part of the agenda. This is a shame!!” Muntu said
