Shivering Gen Katumba Wamala distances self from alleged birthday bash

This week was awash with what has come to be tabled false news that spread showing how Minister for works and Transport Gen Katumba Wamala had planned to hold a birthday in November this year to celebrate his 67th birthday in style. #WhisperEyeNews #UgandaNews

The 4 star General was quick to run to his official Twitter account to distance himself from the rumors.

“Greetings. This has been making rounds on social media. Please disregard it and treat it with the contempt it deserves. #FAKE” he tweeted. and captioned the same with a photo

It is believed that those who were spreading the rumor were trying to create parallel lines between Gen Katumba and the ongoing birthday bashes of Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba the 1st son and commander of UPDF Land Forces.

Some sections of society especially the opposition believe that no other serving officer can have the privilege to hold such birthday parties with political undertones without being suppressed and arrested by the state.

He Wamala escaped hurt after gunmen raided him slashing bullets at his car killing his last daughter.

Whisper Eye has effectively confirmed that Uganda come 2026 will see another hot political showdown ever in the politics of the land.
