Ms. Babirye donated foodstuffs, soap, cooking oil, clothes, and face masks to mothers below 19 years of age from Kabale, Bunono, and Kitubulu villages in Entebbe, Wakiso district.
Most of these teen mothers got pregnant during the terrible Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020, and 2021.
“My dream is to see that no teen mother in the areas of Entebbe goes through pre-natal and post natal stress even after giving birth,” says Ms. Babirye.
“I want to bring hope to their lives, and I’m looking at supporting them into skilling which can be sustainable,” she added.
Ms Babirye is the coordinator of Babirye Cares foundation which has continued it’s drive through the country helping teenage mothers in one way or the other.
