Former Entebbe Municipality Democratic Party Flagbearer Ssalongo Mbwatekamwa Kakembo Micheal has put former Kyadondo East MP Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Commonly referred to as Bobi Wine on notice to organize his Kamwokya-based house or else he will have no option but return to Democratic Party.

Ssalongo Micheal Kakembo who was still the incumbent flagbearer of the Democratic Party in the just concluded Entebbe Municipality seat in 2021 defected from Norbert Mao-led party to win the Entebbe Municipality seat for the very first time since 2006.

It’s now very unbecoming that after the self-claimed DP machine joining NUP and comfortably defeating his competitor’s hands down with the magnetic Bobi Wine effect, the Ssalongo is threatening to make a U-turn and destroy the Kamwokya-based party.

A source within his camp claims Mr Kakembo is not happy and he is still very disappointed that Bobi Wine-led party doesn’t trust him and he has been sidelined from party activities to date.

Kakembo who missed out on the Cabinet shadow list claims many are still fighting him after claiming he fronted DP councilors instead of NUP councilors in the just concluded elections.

He was also accused of influencing NUP to hand a ticket to the Entebbe Mayorships seat to little-known Ms. Olive Nassuna who was badly defeated.

However, Whisper Eye has learned that Mr Kakembo’s wars drawback during the elections time when he was accused of working for the interest of friends linked to defeated Busiro South aspirant Owori Paul.

Its well-known Owori was financed by the NRM big wings although he was badly defeated by Bobi Wine-backed candidate of NUP.

Whisper Eye’s efforts to contact MP Mbwatekwma on his known mobile number were futile despite several calls.

Speaking to some of NUP leaders in Entebbe on condition of anonymity for fear of backlash, they said MP Kakembo Micheal Mbwatekmwa wars stage way back from his DP party and called upon him if he is tired of NUP he should resign immediately and stop working with elements set to destroy their party.

Mbwatekmwa is not new to controversy while struggling to become area MP he was accused of beating up his opponents physically.
