Cranes midfielder Micheal Azira has completed a move to United Soccer League Championship (USLC) side New Mexico United.
This comes after the end of his contract at Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire last season.
Azira was announced by his new club this season after gunning over 125 regular-season appearances in the top flight over the past seven seasons.
“Long time pro, long time target. Who else is excited to see Micheal in Black & Yellow?!,” New Mexico United posted on their Twitter page upon signing Azira
The 33 year old played for Sc Villa before departing the country for studies where he joined Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders in 2008.
Azira has represented Uganda in two AFCON editions putting up great displays that were so vital to the team’s success.
