Cranes winger Francis Olaki joins Sc Villa

SC Villa is set to announce the signing of Francis Olaki the young brother to Emmanuel Okwi . This comes after the two parties agreed on the terms that saw Olaki put pen on a two-year deal.

Olaki has been featuring for Botswana Premier league side Extension Gunners since 2017 but was released by the club due to his constant injury problems.

His arrival at the Jogos is a huge boost for Edward Kaziba’s side which has greatly relied on offensive midfielders and wingers to collect a number of points this season.

Olaki while at Soana FC in the 2013/14 season managed to win the UPL golden boot which later earned him his first professional stint in Europe where he featured for Albania’s FK Tirana and later returned to the UPL with a move to KCCA in 2015. He then later joined Botswana’s Extension Gunners in 2017 after a brief second stint at Soana FC.

Olaki is capped 8 times with the Uganda Cranes and represented Uganda in the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa. He was also named in the squad for the 2016 edition in Rwanda but he pulled out due to injury and was subsequently replaced by Edrisa Lubega.
