Survey: NUP’s Zaninka leads with 62% in Bukuya County

National Unity Platform (NUP) Iron Lady Omulongo Jane Babirye Zaninka leads Bukuya county MP race with 62%.

According to opinion polls conducted in the constituency, residents in Bukuya county told Whisper Eye news that they will vote Ms Zaninka, saying that she has promoted farming in the area.

In addition, they said that incumbent area MP Dr Michael Iga Bukenya has failed to represent them according to their expectations.

Ms Zaninka locally known as Maama Bukuya is the flag bearer of National Unity Platform (NUP) and has promised to create market for agricultural produce.

Mainly maize, which is grown on a large scale in the constituency.

Dr Michael Bukenya is in second position with 31.2% and others with 6.8%.

However, residents warned Ms Zaninka about vote-rigging in the area.
