Ugànda People Defence Forces (UPDF) Maj Gen Paul Lokech appeared for vetting yesterday at parliament.
The former command in South Sudan and Somalia wars was this time dressed in a dark blue suit with two updf bodyguards.
President Museveni nominated Maj. Gen Paul Lokech for the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police .
The position requires parliament approval.
Kalungu West MP Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungo downplayed the appointment of Paul Lokech saying he will still do nothing to change the image of police.
His predecessor Maj. Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi was sent back to the UPDF headquarters for redeployment.
