A regime in panic! Bobi Wine speaks out at UCC letters asking Google & Facebook to ban & delete online channels linked to him . Whisper Eye Reports

The National Unity Platform presidential candidate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has spoken about the tough decision by UCC , Uganda communication commission to request Google Inc to block 13 online youtube channels founded by Ugandans.

UCC a body mandated to licence and regulate communication in Uganda took a decision to write to Google Inc in the United States asking for the deletion of videos that are allegedly behind the death of 60 Rioters when Bobi Wine was arrested.

Bobi Wine states;

A regime in Panic!

Having gagged Ugandan media with all manner of repressive laws, raids, arrests and intimidation (plus taxing social media), the regime now asks Google to block social media channels that support us or carry message of change! I hope all bloggers and other Ugandans who use social media to promote change are encouraged, knowing that their work has meaningful impact!

We have been telling Ugandans about the power of the camera! The regime desperately lies that thess channels promote violence and other illegal activities, but in fact the regime is scared by the number of people we have on social media. Of course they would do anything to stop us from broadcasting our events live. He added

NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WILL SAVE MUSEVENI FROM THE FATE OF ALL DESPOTS. He continued to state.

Among those to be banned are Tamale Mirundi linked youtube channel a president Museveni senior advisor on media affairs.
